What if my participation will be limited?
Often times life may preclude you from playing for weeks or even a couple of months. First off do not get discouraged - for players who can't get a whole of games in, instead of aiming for a Major Victory should aim for a Minor Victory. With a minor victory you only need to control a few territories and can even achieve it within the last month or two of the campaign. Lastly - focus on playing small games if time is limited - a 25 Power Level Combat Patrol game can be completed in 2 hours.
Can we use Special Characters?
Yes, but they (i.e. the special character) will not gain experience.
Can you summon units turn one?
Yes, because summoned units do not exist in your roster until added they do not fall under the restriction of starting the game somewhere other than the battlefield.
Where do we submit our results?
One player from each game should submit their result - it is not necessary for both players to submit their game; only one submission is required.
What is the difference between a Reinforcement unit and a Strategic Reserve unit? And who can arrive first turn?
Ok so this is somewhat complicated, take a seat, stay a while, and listen:
Reinforcement unit - a unit that starts the battle not on the battlefield. Usually designated during the Declare Reserves and Transports portion of the pre-game. Typical examples are Space Marines in Drop Pods, Space Marine Terminators, Eldar Falcon Grav Tanks. These units typically deep strike.
Can these units arrive first turn? No, unless they have a special rule saying they can like Drop Pods and Eldar Falcon Grav Tanks.
Strategic Reserve - a unit that you generally pay Command Points to not start on the battlefield. Usually this includes units that you do not wish to setup at the beginning of the battle but do not have the ability to deep strike - infantry units, tanks, etc.
Can these units arrive first turn? Generally no, but depends on the mission - some mission types like Planetstrike allow this to happen for the attacker, other missions like Recon Patrol specify that this should happen in the mission rules.
Can we use Legends units?
Yes!
Can we use Forgeworld units?
Yes!
Can we use non Games Workshop minis?
